I have been a very loyal Honda driver for over twenty years, and was in the market for a new or used hrv. I looked at the cars in their lot and did a test drive. It was a pretty good experience until we sat down in the showroom to talk about money. I made an offer, they made a counter offer, when I asked them if they could bring it down a little more, that’s when they just stood up and left the table. It was extremely rude and made it clear that they don’t want my business. So, I took my business to Toyota who were 100 times more professional than this place.
I took my car in for another oil change today, and without an appointment. They accommodated me very well, recommended transmission fluid change (due to the sensor reading on the dash) and windshield wiper change as well. Because I had some complaints the last time I came in for an oil change listed in the previous review from July, they gave me a complementary oil change today, a nice gesture which I appreciated. I've been coming here since 2010 and never complained until the last time but thought I should give them another shot. I appreciated them taking me without an appointment. My one disappointment was that the customer wifi was still not available, but whatever. There must be a reason for that, but I did not inquire. All in all, I was very satisfied today at Walnut Creek Honda.
Came in for a nail repair and oil change. Took 3+ hours with zero updates. Damaged my rim, couldn't be bothered to remove the bug that was stuck to the inside of the wheel or wipe off the tire lube when they were done. To top it off the service director told me he carefully reviewed all 3.26 hours of footage and said they weren't responsible. Wont be back and I advise any other people to go to somewhere else.
My wife took her 2017 Honda in for an oil change some months back. Upon changing her oil today, I found out that Walnut Creek Honda put too much oil in. The capacity for her car (a 1.5L), is 3.7 Quarts. I drained out 4.4 Quarts (which is the capacity for a 2.0L). This kind of discrepancy may not sound like a big deal, but too much oil is hard on the engine.
Update:
After speaking with the service director, Brock, I was issued a refund for the oil change. Thank you Brock, I appreciate the care and effort.
I had a disappointing experience at the Honda dealership in Walnut Creek, largely due to my interactions with Tony, the sales representative. Tony's behavior during my visit left much to be desired. Firstly, he refused to provide me with printed quotes, claiming that they were the dealership's property. This lack of transparency made it difficult for me to make an informed decision about what I could afford.
Furthermore, Tony repeatedly pressured me with the insistence that I had to make a purchase on the same day. This aggressive sales tactic was off-putting and did not align with my desire to carefully consider my options.
After a few days, Tony followed up with a phone call. When I informed him that I had made a decision, he rudely interrupted me and abruptly ended the call. This level of discourtesy was entirely uncalled for and further soured my opinion of the dealership.
Throughout my interaction, I made it clear what I was looking for and how much I could afford. Instead of providing honest and straightforward information, he resorted to fabricating stories about conflicts between their advertised ads and reality. This approach did not instill confidence in the dealership's integrity.
Small mom and pop establishment. You can respect the fact that it is not the fancy type of Honda dealership that you would see elsewhere. Tony was a very knowledgeable salesperson and understood what I was looking for in a car. I also appreciate the fact that I was able to do much of my paperwork online and not spend hours in the finance office.
Will they absolutely try to sell you accessories and stuff that quite frankly you don't need? Yes. My dad was a car salesman and did the same thing. It is not their fault. That's part of the business.
I give top rating to the WC Honda service department based on excellent customer service, quality work, and most recently a 3rd party warranty mix-up they completely resolved. My experience to date is very positive, and I definitely and highly recommend them.
Last week, I purchased my very first Honda ever from Walnut Creek Honda, and I am absolutely thrilled that I chose to do business with them. After researching cars for over two years, I finally set my sights on the 2024 CR-V Hybrid Sport …
